Starkiller.

Jedi Knights Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor) and Qui-Gon Jinn (Liam Neeson). fans thinking about star wars 3d
Some were discovering Star Wars for the first time, others could remember watching Star Wars: Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace on the big screen 13 years ago, but all were keen to see how it looked in 3-D.
Local personalities including Matt Moran, Gary Mehigan, Richard Wilkins and Damien Leith were drawn to the Australian premiere of Star Wars: Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace in 3D, many of them towing children who weren't even born when it hit cinemas back in 1999.
A live orchestra played the stirring Star Wars soundtrack on a red carpet in Sydney, which was guarded by storm troopers who happily posed for photos with fans as they filed past.
Radio personality Merrick Watts, a self-confessed Star Wars fan, introduced the film, saying director George Lucas had been working on the 3-D conversion for two years with an "army of nerds".
"Nine nerds died making this film," he said.
He went on to ask who in the audience saw Avatar in 3-D.
"Well, it's crap compared to this film," he said lightheartedly.
However, many audience members disagreed after watching the film.
While one fan said he liked the movie, the 3-D didn't live up to his expectations.
"To be honest, I don't think the 3-D was as good as Avatar," he said.
Another said he had seen better 3-D post-conversions.
"The high hopes was that Industrial Light & Magic (Lucas' visual effects company) was going to show what 3-D conversion is all about, but I don't think they did," he said.
A group of avid Star Wars fans thought "the 3-D was great" but "the movie was crap as always".
"It's only for the kids this one," one member said, adding the group were bigger fans of the original movies, although "the droid battle was pretty good".
The first Star Wars movies were released in 1977, 1980 and 1983, Lucas created three prequels to the trilogy in 1999, 2002 and 2005.
The first of these prequels, or Episode 1, is The Phantom Menace.
One fan said he never really liked Episode 1.
"It's not one of his (Lucas') strongest but it was made for the big screen so I guess it's good to see it back there and hopefully they'll release the original films again," he said.
His friend said he was happy to have brought his son along.
"He's seen it on DVD, he's seen it on Blu-ray, so forget the 3-D even, it's just a chance to see a Star Wars film on the big screen," he said.
His son enjoyed the film but thought it looked better on Blu-ray.
But all agreed it was good to see the film's villain Darth Maul in a lightsabre battle with Jedi Knights Qui-Gon Jinn (Liam Neeson) and Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor).
"It's been 13 years since we've seen that on the big screen," one said.
His friend added: "Darth Maul and Qui-Gon - when they cut loose, that's the Jedis that we always wanted to see."

Those of the Jedi Knight, Sith Warrior, Jedi Consular and Sith Inquisitor
Those of the Jedi Knight, Sith Warrior, Jedi Consular and Sith Inquisitor classes will see the most difference this coming patch. Most of the other classes will notice a change in the Operation Boss enemies, as a lot of abilities no longer effect these baddies. http://laguerradelasgalaxias-starwars.blogspot.com/
One interesting update (that I am sad to see) is the bug fix where your companion will no longer appear unclothed randomly when summoned. Why the no random nudity BioWare? I like my chance that I will see a naked something anytime I log onto the interweb.
For a complete listing of all the patch notes go here. See something that should have been left alone, or think something else is missing? Let us know in the comments below!

Star Wars: Battlefront II, but eager gamers still haven’t seen a third game in the series.
It’s been over six years since the release of the critically acclaimed Star Wars: Battlefront II, but eager gamers still haven’t seen a third game in the series. Luckily, we’ve uncovered new information that points towards the current developer of the game, and when it will release. http://laguerradelasgalaxias-starwars.blogspot.com/
Developer Spark Unlimited were previously rumored to be working on Battlefront III – but at the time there was virtually no evidence to back up the assertion. All people had to go on was the fact that the developer’s Twitter wouldn’t deny (or confirm) that it was their project, and the fact that their site said “We are in production on an unannounced high-profile, popular game sequel for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC release.”
Now, however, new info seems to back up the original rumor with a lot more evidence. A job listing states (emphasis added):
Spark is looking for a senior combat designer for a 3rd Person Action/Adventure sequel in ahigh-profile science fiction franchise currently greenlit for full production development for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC markets.
Of course, the Call of Duty: Finest Hour developer could be working on a different science fiction franchise – not that there are that many that aren’t already signed to a developer. But then there’s theLinkedIn profile for John Lawrie, who used to be Senior Software Engineer for Spark Unlimited, which lists under his work for the developer:
Unannounced third person sword fighting game (well known IP, Xbox 360, PS3)
And what is the most famous sci-fi sword? The lightsaber of course. And before you wonder, another developer’s LinkedIn confirms it is a shooter as well:
I have been working for three years in a AAA third person shooter using Unreal Engine and Kynapse AI middleware.
It’s pretty hard to think of any other high profile sci-fi franchises that have already been games, are third person, and involve shooting and swordplay – so this all suggests BFIII. But there have been some suggestions that Spark Unlimited is working on a Star Wars game that isn’t a sequel – something that seems unlikely when you look at a recent tweet from the developer (emphasis added):
Since we are working on a sequel for a well known sci-fi franchise, all aspects must remain secret.
With all these signs pointing towards Battlefront III, you probably want to know when you can get your hands on the game. According to the current Senior Engineer at Spark Unlimited’s LinkedIn:
• Currently – New unannounced project! (~2012 release)
This is all still a rumor, so bear in mind that nothing has been confirmed, but would you like to seeBattlefront III on current-gen consoles later this year? Share your thoughts in the comments below, on our forums, or leave us a video reply on YouTube.

Microsoft and LucasArts have apparently worked out the kinks in "Kinect Star Wars,"
Microsoft and LucasArts have apparently worked out the kinks in "Kinect Star Wars," a flagship game for the Xbox 360 that was supposed to launch in time for the holidays.
The companies delayed the release in August, saying they had to work on the game's quality.
Today they announced that it will finally be released on April 3, for $49.99. They'll also start promoting it with demos this Saturday at some AMC Theatres that are showing the new 3D "Star Wars: Episode 1 The Phantom Menace." http://laguerradelasgalaxias-starwars.blogspot.com/
Five modes are in the game, including podracing, "Rancor Rampage," "Galactic Dance Off" and "Duels of Fate."
There's also "Jedi Destiny: Dark Side Rising," which includes space battles, speeder bikes and duels with Darth Vader and others.
Microsoft's also offering a limited edition "Star Wars" console in a bundle with the game for $449.99. The hardware looks especially cool, but "Kinect Star Wars" and Xbox are going to have a tough time pulling "Star Wars" fans away from EA's online PC title, "Star Wars: The Old Republic."
A few screenshots - can you guess which one is "Duels of Fate" and "Galactic Dance Off"?

Star Wars: The Old Republic diary entry where we look at why the game can't be compared to other MMOs.
BioWare has announced it has plans to develop official video guides and weekly blogs dedicated to help new users to Star Wars: The Old Republic.
The first video available is hosted by social media coordinator Eric Musco, who gives an overview of how to create a character and interact with NPCs.
Additionally, a weekly Q&A blog series will select 10 questions from the community and post answers each Friday.http://laguerradelasgalaxias-starwars.blogspot.com/
Users will be given the chance to ask one question per week on the community forum. This week's forum discussion will be open until Tuesday 8pm GMT.
Check out our latest Star Wars: The Old Republic diary entry where we look at why the game can't be compared to other MMOs.
The videos give an overview of the absolute basic features of the game, but that highlights exactly who BioWare thinks its target audience is. This is an MMO built as much for non-MMO players as it is ex-WoW alumni.

Star Wars and Bioware fans can finally rejoice, "Star Wars: The Old Republic" has arrived.
"Star Wars: The Old Republic" is Bioware's new groundbreaking massively multiplayer online role-playing game that goes where no MMORPG has gone before, by adding a myriad of story choices for its players.
What sets this game apart is its attention to the story. When playing the infamously addictive MMO, "World of Warcraft," you're an unknown hero, helping to defeat the dragon and save the world, but because you did it with help from others, you're just one nameless face among hundreds.

Electronic Arts, Peter Moore, se ha mostrado muy satisfecho con los resultados obtenidos en el lanzamiento de Star Wars: The Old Republic
Star Wars: The Old Republic
